2020考研英語一大綱解析Text 4：并列結(jié)構(gòu)巧解推理題

有的同學(xué)喜歡通讀全文后然后憑剛剛通讀完的感覺答題，這點只對文章主旨題或作者態(tài)度題可行，然而在考察細(xì)節(jié)的推理題中則很容易選錯。以2020年考研英語一大綱題型示例中的Text 4的第37題為例：

But the cult of the authentic and the personal, “doing our own thing”, has spelt the death of formal speech, writing, poetry and music. While even the modestly educated sought an elevated tone when they put pen to paper before the 1960s, even the most well regarded writing since then has sought to capture spoken English on the page. Equally, in poetry, the highly personal, performative genre is the only form that could claim real liveliness. In both oral and written English, talking is triumphing over speaking, spontaneity over craft.

正確的做法是根據(jù)題干關(guān)鍵詞“talking”定位到原文最后一句。In both oral and written English是介賓短語作狀語，而后面的”talking is triumphing over speaking, spontaneity over craft”則是由逗號分開的兩個并列句，且”spontaneity over craft”省略了謂語成分，完整應(yīng)該為" spontaneity is triumphing over speaking”。在這個并列復(fù)句中，talking is triumphing over speaking 和 spontaneity (is triumphing )over craft 構(gòu)成一個類比的關(guān)系，over前后構(gòu)成對比關(guān)系。也就是說 talking 對應(yīng)著 spontaneity 而 speaking 對應(yīng)著 craft的關(guān)系。不知道spontaneity 也沒關(guān)系，可以根據(jù)craft (精巧工藝)猜測反義詞，而informality 也正是對spontaneity的同義替換。
