　　男，教授，博士，博士生導(dǎo)師。1985年南京農(nóng)業(yè)大學農(nóng)學系作物遺傳育種專業(yè)本科畢業(yè)，獲學士學位，1988年該校研究生畢業(yè)，獲碩士學位，2008年該校博士研究生畢業(yè)，獲博士學位。為國家“百千萬人才工程”首批培養(yǎng)對象(1997年)和江蘇省“333人才工程”首批第二層次培養(yǎng)對象。1998年獲得國務(wù)院政府特殊津貼。為南京市第十二屆、十三屆人大代表。目前主要從事棉花基因資源發(fā)掘與種質(zhì)創(chuàng)新研究?，F(xiàn)主持有國家轉(zhuǎn)基因重大專項、國家自然科學基金、江蘇省自然科學基金等課題，參加國家973、國家支撐計劃等項目課題。
　　研究工作簡歷：
　　 1988年-2002年8月，在江蘇省農(nóng)業(yè)科學院從事棉花重要性狀基因的發(fā)掘利用、優(yōu)質(zhì)棉的種質(zhì)創(chuàng)新和細胞遺傳等研究。2000年1月至2001年1月作為訪問學者公派赴澳大利亞昆士蘭大學和昆士蘭州基礎(chǔ)產(chǎn)業(yè)部（QDPI）學習棉花分子生物學技術(shù)。2003年9月調(diào)至南京農(nóng)業(yè)大學從事棉花基因資源發(fā)掘與種質(zhì)創(chuàng)新研究。
